The Schwyz Culture Weekend offers an impressive variety of culture from Friday to Sunday. Around 160 cultural events take place in 29 towns and villages, presenting the rich cultural heritage of Canton Schwyz in all its diversity.
A weekend for every taste: from the film premiere and the painting workshop to impro-theatre or a Ländler Stubete. In addition, over 70 artists open respectively their studios to the public. They allow intimate insights into creative work in general as well as into work processes and various techniques. Also various collections will be shown with guided tours.
From Küssnacht to Einsiedeln - from Muotathal to Pfäffikon: the cultural heritage of Canton Schwyz is presented in all its breadth in many villages.
Smaller villages never cease to amaze with their commitment. In 2022, for example, Ried, Muotathal shone with a veritable colony of artists.
Children cannot be sensitized to culture early enough. So there are numerous events for the youngest to the youngest (with heavy sound and mega gigs). In general: music, theatre and "Äktschn" (Action) have the word, besides painting and drawing etc.
In 2022, no less than three bus tours visited numerous stations of art and art happenings in the outer and inner parts of the canton. Two "cult tours" started on Saturday morning from Pfäffikon, one from Goldau. These long-popular "cultural tours" visit open studios, exhibitions in unusual spaces, performances and other artistic "crime scenes".
The information for the Schwyz Culture Weekend 2024 will follow by the beginning of 2024 at the latest.
