Secure your ticket for the annual Swiss National Day on the Rütli. Every year, a Swiss celebrity gives the keenly anticipated 1 August speech on the meadow where Switzerland was founded. Revel in the great atmosphere, sing the national anthem and enjoy a free boat ride to and from the Rütli.
The celebrations in the village last from 31 July until the early morning hours of 2 August. They are supported by a large open-air stage as well as smaller stages with live music. There is also row upon row of benches and tables for everyone to use. Join the party and enjoy the range of food offerings and the incredible atmosphere.
The fireworks display on the lake takes place at 9:45 pm. The definitive time is always announced during the course of 1 August. Stop by and gaze in wonder from the shore as the fireworks launch into the sky from a barge on the lake, illuminating the heavens and reflecting in the water.
