Celebrate Switzerland's birthday in Brunnen with Swiss traditions. Traditional sounds and a varied programme await you.
The alphorn is a typically Swiss musical instrument and belongs to 1 August like the Swiss flag. That is why several alphorn formations will sound their alphorns on National Day. The road closures in the centre of the village allow for a larger promenade and gastronomy zone that invites visitors to linger. There will be a stage at each of two locations, providing musical entertainment such as Ländler and pop/rock. In the evening, some building facades in the village centre and on the lake front will be illuminated. This is an invitation to even more conviviality.
