For generations, the best Geisslerchlepfer have competed every year on Epiphany Day, 6 January, at the Priss-Chlepfä on the main square in Schwyz.
More than 50 years ago, the first Priis-Chlepfä took place on Epiphany Day, which has since become an established custom. On the morning of Epiphany, the Priis-Chlepfä takes place on the main square in Schwyz. The best Geisselchlepfer in the canton compete and make loud bangs with their Geissel according to all the rules of the art. A jury judges the more than one hundred participants in the competition, who compete for the title of best chlepfers. Experience this traditional custom.
