The moor forests of the Ibergeregg belong to the rare and endangered habitats of our country. For this reason, the «Swiss Landscape Conservation» foundation has named the moor forests of the Ibergeregg as «Landscape of the Year 2019». The hike begins with a walk through the village of Brunnen. From Brünischart you walk strongly uphill. The path takes you over hill and dale, natural stairs and through the forest. If you are quiet, you are lucky to spot a deer in the forest. After the strenuous climb, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view over Lake Lucerne. Afterwards you walk relaxed downhill until you arrive in Gersau.
