A guided tour of the Swiss Knife Valley VISITOR CENTER with the Victorinox Brand Store and Museum takes 1.5 hours. An expert guide will assist you and tell you all the exciting facts about the Victorinox knife factory during this approximately hour-long tour. During a further half-hour, you will find out a lot of interesting information about other companies based in the Mythen Adventure Region.
At the Victorinox Museum, you will learn lots of exciting things about the history and development of these knives. The tour takes in historic exhibits dating from 5,000 B.C. up to the 18th century. You will also be presented with the milestones in the company’s exceptional and extensive history. Various glass showcases contain numerous exhibits, such as the smallest officer’s knife in the world. You will also find out how to recognise an authentic Victorinox knife.
The tour then moves on to the Victorinox Brand Store on the next storey. There, you will learn about other Victorinox products, such as pocketknives, household and professional knives, watches, luggage and fragrances. For over 130 years, VICTORINOX has stood for quality, functionality, innovation and design.
You will be shown two films in a small cinema. The first one focuses on the production of the Victorinox knives, and the second one takes you to the most beautiful spots in the Mythen Adventure Region. An interactive relief also allows you to view Central Switzerland from a somewhat unusual perspective.
The tour concludes at the Info Lounge, where you will receive additional tips and information on the Mythen Adventure Region and its numerous tourist service providers and businesses.
