50 wonderful kilometres of piste situated close to town in the alpine foothills of the Mythen Region.

The Mythen Region by Schwyz is the canton’s biggest ski resort and home to the region’s emblem, Mount Grosser Mythen. This boutique ski resort close to town with 50 kilometres of piste, 36 kilometres of south-facing winter walking trails, snowshoe trails, toboggan runs, a freestyle park, a children’s ski cross piste, a cross-country ski trail, countless cosy mountain restaurants and a Swiss Ski School offers everything for a perfect day of winter sport.

There are four entry points to the Mythen Region: with the Rotenfluebahn cable car from Rickenbach ob Schwyz, with the Brunni-Holzegg cable car in Alpthal, via the Handgruobi ski lift and from Ibergeregg (the mountain pass from Schwyz or Oberiberg).

Charming, family-friendly and laid-back: with 50 kilometres of piste, the Mythen Region is Schwyz’s largest ski resort. This magical natural arena with its enchanting woodland pistes and countless mountain restaurants makes a day’s skiing into an unforgettable nature experience.

For our little visitors, we have the Kabi Snowpark by the Handgruobi ski lift and the children’s ski cross piste on Mount Rotenflue. There are also beginner-friendly ski lifts at every entry point to the Mythen Region: Alp Rotenfluh (via the Rotenfluebahn cable car), the Alpstubli ski lift at Ibergeregg (via the mountain pass), the Brunni-Haggenegg ski lift in Alpthal and the Holzegg-West ski lift (via the Brunni-Haggenegg cable car in Alpthal). The Swiss Ski School now offers lessons specially for children on Mount Rotenflue and at Ibergeregg.

Freestylers have been coming to the Mythen Region from throughout Switzerland for years. Designed with passion, the Mythenpark with its obstacles and kickers offers you superlative freestyling conditions in the alpine foothills.

Four entry points lead into the Mythen region and are easily accessible by public transport or car:

• From Schwyz with the Rotenfluebahn (bus stop Rickenbach SZ, Rotenfluebahn).
• From Handgruobi (on the Schwyz - Ibergeregg pass road, bus stop Rickenbach SZ, Handgruobi)
• From Ibergeregg (pass road from Schwyz, bus stop Ibergeregg, pass summit). 
• From Brunni-Alpthal with the cable car Brunni-Holzegg (Brunni SZ, valley station LBH).

If you are coming from Zurich, use the access via Einsiedeln / Brunni-Alpthal. The Mythen region can be reached by car from Lucerne or Zug in 30 minutes and from Zurich in around 45 minutes.
