Thanks to its location directly by the motorway exit and near Schwyz Railway Station, the large Seewen Markt shopping centre in Seewen, Schwyz, is very easy to reach. In 2014, the shopping centre celebrated its 10th anniversary. Alongside a Coop Megastore, you will find other great shops, as well as a McDonald’s and a Landi store directly adjacent to the shopping centre.
In 2004, another shopping centre was opened in the Schwyz valley bottom in addition to the Mythencenter Schwyz. With around 20 big-name shops, Seewen Markt shopping centre is considerably smaller than its competitor in Ibach, yet stands out thanks to its spacious design and good selection of outlets. Its location is also a major draw. You can reach the shopping centre by car within just a few minutes from the Seewen motorway exit, or by taking the No. 3 bus from Schwyz railway station.
The Seewen Markt shopping centre especially emphasises its family-friendly approach. It regularly hosts events that appeal to both young and old. These range from an interactive obstacle course organised by Coop Naturaplan, to a visit from Papa Moll, a cartoon character who enjoys cult status in Switzerland. There is always something to see and discover. Yet this isn’t the only thing that makes Seewen Markt shopping centre a popular place to shop – its long opening hours and 800 free parking spaces also promise a relaxing shopping experience.
After getting your hair done at Coiffure Gidor, you can stroll through the Dosenbach shoe shop opposite and find out about the latest trends in the world of cycling at the Ochsner Sport sports shop. At the Jysk furniture store and the Lumimart specialist lighting shop, you will find everything you need to update your home’s interiors. At the Rhomberg store, you will find the most beautiful items of jewellery, and the latest fragrances at the Import perfume shop. Clothes can be found at the clothing stores Chîcorée and Broadway; consumer electronics at Interdiscount; and all your pet-related needs at Qualipet. Following a short coffee break at Konditorei Lüönd or in the Coop Restaurant, you can stow away your purchases in your car, conveniently parked in the multi-storey car park. Conclude your outing with the highlight of shopping at the Coop Megastore, which was built according to a new concept in late autumn 2017. The meat counter is reminiscent of a village butcher’s shop, and the ‘Chäs Hüsli’ is like a cheese shop from bygone days.
