Z'GRAGGEN Distillery – distilled passion

The Z'GRAGGEN Distillery is situated directly by the idyllic Lake Lauerz at the foot of Mount Rigi and has won ‘Swiss Distillery of the Year’ several times.

Distilling schnapps is their passion! For over 70 years now, the Z'graggen family has been practising this craft and contributes to preserving Swiss distilling culture with a broad range of spirits. The know-how they have acquired along the way has been handed down from generation to generation. Every year, they use the best fruits to distil refined and well-balanced spirits. The distillery’s product range comprises more than 65 different Swiss spirits. There is lots of passion, hard work and creativity in each of their spirits. Try it for yourself – each drop is delicious! 

This down-to-earth Schwyz family-run business is managed by Andreas und Tony Z'graggen, the second generation to tend to the stills. Both of them have acquired comprehensive expertise and are looking forward to sharing this with the next generation.

Every year, the Z'GRAGGEN Distillery sells around 400,000 litres of its various different spirits. These are sold through a variety of distribution channels. Depending on the annual harvest , they process up to 950 tons of fruit each year. Only the best fruits are used in the distillery. Per distillation, up to 2,700 litres of mash can be distilled on eight stills. One distillation takes between four and five hours.
