Urschwyz – a bit of home. ‘Urschwyz’ is the brand under which regional products and agritourism services are marketed.
The Verein Ländlicher Marktplatz Kanton Schwyz und Umgebung (The Association for a Rural Marketplace in the Canton of Schwyz and Surrounding Area) was founded in 2011. It offers sales and marketing support to producers of regional products and providers of agritourism services. The association is managed by the ‘Das Beste der Region’ (‘Best of the Region’) organisation, a collective in which regions throughout Switzerland participate. One of the association’s key tasks is quality assurance and certification processes for regional products.
Today, the ‘Urschwyz’ marketplace has 95 members in total. These are farmers and small businesses, retailers, producers and sponsoring members in the canton of Schwyz and the surrounding area. The marketplace offers a wide selection of delicious regional specialities and exceptional activities amidst the unique landscape.
