A beatiful alpine hiking path to alp Schilteli.

The panorama on the Schilteli Alp is overwhelming.

A short section of the route runs along the "Path of Switzerland” and then turns to the east, in the direction of Degenbalm. Through the forest, you then reach the hamlet of Hetzig. The trail now follows the gravel path through a forest to the fork that leads to the Schilteli Alp. The mountain path to the destination guides you through the shady forests and along the Lauitobel River. The upper part of the path features comfortable wooden steps and for safety reasons there is a sturdy fence at all times on the valley side. The way back leads you along the gravel path back down to the valley through the Schilteliwald forest. Leave the road westwards and hike past the hamlet of Schilti, practically opposite Lake Lucerne. At the street, take the path towards Morschach. You’ll then find yourself back on the “Path of Switzerland", which leads towards the village. The way home will take you past idyllic hamlets and two chapels, which invite to take a bit of a rest.
