A guided tour of the Swiss Knife Valley VISITOR CENTER with Victorinox Brand Store and Museum lasts 90 minutes. During the tour, an expert guide will tell you everything worth knowing about the Victorinox knife factory for about an hour. In addition, you will be introduced to the other tourism and business enterprises in the Mythen adventure region.
In the Victorinox Museum you can learn a lot about the history and development of knives. There are historical exhibits from the period from 5000 years before Christ to the 18th century. Afterwards, the milestones of the Victorinox knife factory are presented to you, giving you a deeper insight into the long and exciting history of the company. There are further exhibits in various glass display cases, such as the world's smallest army knife. You can also find out how to recognize an original Victorinox knife.
Then it's off to the next floor, to the Victorinox Brand Store. There you will find information about other Victorinox products, such as pocket knives, household and professional knives, watches, luggage and perfume. Victorinox has stood for quality, functionality, innovation and design for more than 130 years.
Two films are shown in a small cinema. The films are about the production of the Victorinox knife and about the most beautiful places in the Mythen adventure region. In addition, Central Switzerland can be viewed from a different perspective on an interactive relief.
Last but not least, there are even more exciting things to learn about the Mythen adventure region with its numerous tourism providers and commercial enterprises in the Info Lounge.
